Personal Care and Supported Living
Personal Care
Veracity Healthcare is a CQC-registered provider rated Good, delivering high-quality personal care services to adults aged 18 and over in their own homes. Our aim is to support people to maintain independence, dignity, and a good quality of life through compassionate, safe, and responsive care.
Personal care involves assisting individuals with daily tasks they would typically manage themselves, but may need support with due to age, illness, disability, or recovery. Our care is tailored to each person’s needs, preferences, and routines and can be delivered as part of a wider care package or as stand-alone support.
We provide support with:
-
Personal hygiene: bathing, showering, washing, oral care, hair care, and grooming
-
Toileting and continence support: assistance with using the toilet, catheter or stoma care (as directed by healthcare professionals), and changing continence pads
-
Dressing and undressing, including choosing appropriate clothing
-
Mobility assistance, including transfers, positioning, and use of mobility aids
-
Eating and drinking: support with meals and hydration, and assistance with feeding where needed
-
Medication support, including prompting or administering medication, where care plans and risk assessments permit
Our service is designed around dignity, respect, and promoting independence. Wherever possible, we support people to retain control and take an active role in their own care.
Our team includes trained and experienced care staff who receive regular supervision and ongoing development in:
-
Safe moving and handling
-
Infection prevention and control
-
Medication administration
-
Communication and dignity in care
-
Safeguarding vulnerable adults
-
Supporting nutrition and hydration
We work closely with families, health professionals, and other services to ensure holistic, consistent, and safe care. For individuals with more complex needs (e.g. PEG feeding, catheter or stoma management), we follow care plans developed by district nurses or other healthcare professionals, and ensure staff are trained and competent in delegated tasks.
Support is available from as little as one visit per day to full 24-hour care, including waking nights, sleep-ins, and live-in care where required.
At Veracity Healthcare, we believe that personal care is not just about meeting physical needs—it’s about building trust, promoting independence, and enhancing wellbeing through kindness, consistency, and skilled support.
